There is a big difference between SEO traffic, Google Ads and Social Media Ads traffic.
SEO traffic is always the most qualified because most users nowadays know the difference between Ads and Organic Listings. Users trust websites that rank organically more than ones that rank on ads. The bummer is that organic ranking takes a while to start generating traffic to a business, so if you are marketer, it makes sense for you to run Search Ads to start driving traffic to your business.
Social Media traffic is considered Push Marketing; in other words, you are pushing your ads on users that don’t necessarily have a need, and users that aren’t always your target audience. Even though you set your targeting right, you will still get irrelevant users reaching out to you. Displays ads like social media ads and google display ads generate the most junk leads for your business, because people looking for a job see your ad, suppliers that want to sell you something, potential business partners, and the list goes on.
Now, it might be smart to run Social Media ads because the search volume for your business is low, or because you have a tempting offer, or because you want to grow your brand name. If for example you have a product that helps people lose weight but users don’t know of it or don’t search for it, then it makes sense for you to run Social Media ads. If you are a clinic and running an offer for a limited time, then again, it makes sense for you to run Social Media ads. And last, if you want to grow your brand name, and retarget users that previously landed on your website or your competitors websites, then again, it makes sense to run Social Media ads.
