2 Most Important Values Of Header Tags
First, search engines like pages that are rightly structured. They don’t like pages that are full of text without headers.
Google would always rank a page that has an H1, H2 and H3 tags vs a page that only has an H1, or only H2s. Yes, you’d be surprised, there are sites that don’t even have H1 tags.
The second value of header tags is that you get credits from search engines when you include your targeted keywords in the headers and not only in the copy.
So when you have your targeted keywords in your H1 and H2 tags for example, Search Engines understand that your page is about these keywords or key phrases you are targeting.
Otherwise if you only include your targeted keywords in the copy and not in the headers, Search Engines have to guess if your page is about these keywords or not; and in this case, Search Engines would rather rank your competitors that have the right header structure.
That’s it, so if you follow a good header structure for your pages, you will start ranking better and drive more traffic to your business.
